LuMind Research Down Syndrome's RDS Runners is the national charity running program advancing Down syndrome cognition research.

The Foundation is the worldwide leader in supporting Down syndrome cognition research. Biomedical research is aimed at developing treatments to significantly improve cognition, including memory, learning and speech, for individuals with Down syndrome. This enables them to participate more successfully in school and lead more active and independent lives. Treatments to avoid the early onset of Alzheimer's disease in persons with Down syndrome are also being explored.

Remarkable progress has already been made over a very short time. In fact, four human clinical trials have already begun, less than a decade after the support of private foundations stimulated the progress of Down syndrome cognitive research.

Your support of RDS Runners will help translate these reserach initiatives into a reality.
