Robert C. Schoen, PhD

Prior to joining Research Down Syndrome, Robert C. Schoen, PhD was President, Medical Device Testing Consultancy, a firm which specializes in in vitro Diagnostics development, manufacturing and testing consulting. Bob was employed for 23 years with Abbott Laboratories, where he held a variety of management positions in Abbott Diagnostics, including Research and Development, Quality Assurance and Manufacturing. Bob obtained a Doctorate in Human Genetics and Cell Biology from the University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, and conducted post-doctoral research at Los Alamos National Laboratory. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame.

Daniel K. Flatley

Daniel K. Flatley is General Partner, Masthead Ventures, and has over 30 years of experience investing in early-stage information technology, media and telecommunications companies. Prior to joining Masthead, Dan was a Managing Director at Credit Suisse First Boston and Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette where he was global head of a group investing in and financing satellite and telecommunications companies. Previously, he was a principal in a mid-market buyout and M&A advisory firm. He holds an AB from the University of Notre Dame, a JD from Georgetown University School of Law and a MBA from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.  Dan has a nine year old son with Down syndrome.

Mary Beth Schoen

Mary Beth Schoen is an Account Director, Client Relations at R/P Marketing Public Relations in Holland, Ohio. Mary Beth has over 30 years experience in planning marketing strategies and supervising program development and implementation for clients in the architectural/building products, pharmaceutical/healthcare, industrial manufacturing, finance, automotive, and business consulting services markets. Areas of expertise include brand development, including international launch programs for pharmaceutical and architectural products. Mary Beth received her Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Mary’s College, Notre Dame, Indiana.
